Erik in his swashbuckling teens.
FINALLY! A design for Erik that is totally my own! *Maniacal laughter* Recently I learned something very wise from my phriend ~MySweetPhantom: "The Phantom doesn’t really belong to ALW or even Leroux, he belongs to the phans who love him, so my story doesn’t take away from the phantom, it adds to it!" I love that. It is makes a lot of sense, too ("look at your face in the mirror; I am there inside"). On hearing this, I decided that my own concept for Erik isn't a bad idea at all, so I chose to elaborate on the stories of his life before he came to the Paris Operahouse. So here is Erik in all his skinny, youth-y, my-own-design-y glory. Sadly he is probably still © someone other than me.... Oh yeah and he is hungry in this picture because I was hungry while I was drawing it. |

his clothes kick arse, seriously, best pirate Erik I've ever seen! the tattered cloak is a nice touch.
Great picture, I love the concept of Erik at sea, I bet he'd be a master tactician too...

I also like how you drew a bit of the deformity on his hairline where his mask doesn't reach. It's so awesome!

If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse, songmaker`s cry, the one without tears
For I`ve given this its strength and it has become my only strength.
Just keep moving, life stays different.
